If you experience pain, swelling, burning or itching in your veins, or if youre just bothered by the way they look, the physicians at Vascular Associates offer a variety of treatments to help you: Venous injection or Sclerotherapy.This simple outpatient procedure is the most common method used on spider and varicose veins. Our experience is that most patients can expect a 50% to 90% improvement using sclerotherapy. Venous Closure.This minimally invasive procedure involves closing off the vein with heat. Healthier veins surrounding the closed veins take on the blood flow, and symptoms from the varicose vein decreases. Surgery.In rare cases, surgery will be recommended for severe vein problems.
